In 2024 the quarter festival will stop in the industrial quarter. You can now submit art and culture projects from all categories. The submission phase runs until June 5th, 2023, the festival period is from May 17th to July 15th, 2024.
QUARTER FESTIVAL LOWER AUSTRIA – INDUSTRIAL QUARTER 2024
The Quarter Festival Lower Austria is a regional art and culture festival that alternates every year in one of the four districts of Lower Austria.
In the period from May 17 to July 14, 2024, art and culture projects will be realized at numerous locations in the industrial district, which deal with the motto VIEWS and the special features of the region and are characterized by originality and experimentation.
The Quarter Festival Lower Austria is not a festival in the traditional sense. Cultural initiatives, artists, communities, schools, but also private individuals or associations can submit projects.
A jury of experts selects those projects from all submissions that are invited to be implemented. The Quarter Festival Lower Austria provides the organizational and framework as well as financial support for the implementation.
FESTIVAL MOTTO: PERSPECTIVE
There is not just “one” perspective: depending on which side you look at something from, it can look very different. Being able to see and accept these differences in how something is looked at at all requires tolerance. Getting involved with a different perspective is not always easy, but it can open up new worlds and strengthen understanding for something different or perhaps also for what is foreign.
Be it that you rethink the “old” or take a different perspective from a supposedly different position – it always makes the world more colorful and diverse and broadens your own horizon.
The motto VIEWWISE wants to strengthen the awareness that there are always several ways of looking at things. Dare to change your point of view, to include other points of view and to let different points of view enter into a dialogue.
