Ten years of the Free Tree Festival: More than 100 performances in the anniversary summer

35 bands, 70 DJs, four stages, three days, camping: The tenth edition of the Free Tree Festival in Taiskirchen, which has long been known nationwide, will take place from August 11th to 13th. More than 100 acts from the alternative and electronic music scene as well as from culture have been announced.

Diversity is lived here in all its facets, according to the organizer association Free Tree: four stages with different music genres, cabarets, several workshops and performances for the whole family – including organic regional cuisine. A wide range of activities is planned for families. At the festival, great importance is also attached to details and decorations, and the voluntary association invests a lot of time and creativity in a unique on-site feast for the eyes every year.

“Fully in line with the motto ‘think global but act local’,” says club chairman Johann Gattermaier. “As an association and organizer, we have been putting out feelers for something special for more than ten years. Always on the lookout for trends and new local heroes in the music and culture scene in order to offer our visitors an unforgettable festival experience.” The sustainability factor is always kept in mind. “It’s not for nothing that we are Austria’s largest green event.” The Free Tree Open Air has already been named the winner of the Green Event Austria Award three times in a row. And it is Austria’s only organically certified festival so far. A lot of attention to detail, openness to new things and sensitivity are required in order to be able to celebrate impressively with “small footprint”. Festival passes and day tickets for the Free Tree from August 11th to 13th are already available: www.freetreeopenair.at
