10 years after the excitement and the promises, what remains of the Hyperloop? In 2013, engineers around the world were buzzing about this crazy idea: making shuttles circulate in a vacuum tube… at 1,200 km/h. It was planned, from 2030, that the first Hyperloop lines would transport freight, and even passengers. A sign that could have raised concern, Elon Musk – although the originator of the idea – quickly lost interest. To the point that some American media did not hesitate to affirm that the American billionaire had only one goal: to slow down the construction of a TGV line in California. The fact remains that many projects are still in progress, a little forgotten and still far from being completed.
