The facts took place around 6 a.m. in the rue de la Croix, in Ixelles. When firefighters arrived on the scene, thick smoke billowed from the building. About seventy residents of the building were evacuated to a neighboring room. They were then able to quickly return to their apartment. The circumstances of the accident have not yet been determined.
