Ten minors are among the 16 detained by military personnel for the crime of strategic material trafficking in Bolívar state.
According to Chief General Domingo Hernández Lárez, operational strategic commander of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces, the group was caught stealing 700 kilos of copper at the facilities of the Siderúrgica del Orinoco (Sidor) Alfredo Maneiro.
From the Bolivarian National Guard they clarified that the procedure was carried out when the military officials were carrying out patrol work in said company and the Public Ministry of the entity was notified.
The detainees were identified as presumed members of the gang “los Galeros”. Said criminal group is dedicated to the robbery and theft of strategic material from basic companies.
