Ten companies are interested in improving Mariscal López Avenue

Asuncion, IP Agency.- The Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC) received a total of ten bids to carry out the rehabilitation and maintenance works on Mariscal López Avenue, from Madame Lynch to the Yberá intersection in San Lorenzo. Eight are independent companies and two are consortia. The economic proposals range between G. 52,076,203,237 and G. 57,572,421,146.

The improvement will be carried out at one of the busiest accesses to the capital and is part of the plan promoted by the institution with the aim of strengthening security, reducing traffic congestion and ensuring the proper functioning of the road infrastructure.

The bidders for this tender are Construpar SA; Tecnoedil SA Construction Company; LT SA; Avenida Consortium (EDIVI SA Construction Company and Teco Limited Liability Company); Yberá Consortium (Chaves Construction SAI and Paraguayan Construction and Housing SA); Vial Sur SA; Feldmann Construction Company SA; Isacio Vallejos Construction Company SA; Concret-Mix SA; Technical Construction Company SA (SOTEC SA).

The reception of offers took place on Tuesday, July 2, in the MOPC auditorium, located on the third floor. Present were Eng. René Peralbo and Eng. Pablina Balbuena, representing the Directorate of Roads, as well as Atty. Marcelina Mendoza and Atty. José Mauricio Martínez from the Directorate of Legal Affairs. The event was chaired by Natalia Rodríguez from the Contracting Operational Unit (UOC) on behalf of the calling party.

Evaluation of proposals

All documents submitted will now be evaluated by the Bid Evaluation Committee, which will analyse the content and compliance with the requirements established in the contracting bases.

The section to be improved comprises 6.3 km, from Madame Lynch (D066) to the Yberá area, in San Lorenzo, Central department.

The rehabilitation works will include various items such as earth movement, paving, irrigation with asphalt material, works of art and drainage, cellular sewers, complementary works, thermoplastic horizontal signage, and Portland cement concrete, among others.

Maintenance work includes earth moving, paving, art and drainage works, thermoplastic horizontal signage, among other aspects.
