New Delhi: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is making final preparations to leave his official residence. Rahul started shifting his belongings from his residence in Tughlaq Lane, Delhi. Rahul had received a notice to vacate the MP’s official residence before April 22. Rahul’s office said that the residence will be officially handed over before the allotted time following completion of all formalities. Rahul’s decision is to move to Sonia Gandhi’s residence in Janpath at that time.

Disqualified from the post of MP, Rahul had received a notice to vacate his official residence. Then many Congress supporters from different parts of the country came forward announcing that they would give Rahul his own house. Later, the Congress started a campaign called ‘My house for Rahul’.

Delhi Sevadal leader Rajkumari Gupta has registered her house in the name of Rahul Gandhi. Rajkumari Gupta had also submitted documents stating that Rahul Gandhi is the Power of Attorney for her house in Mangolpuri. Senior Congress leader and legislator from Uttar Pradesh Ajay Rai symbolically gifted his house in Varanasi to Rahul Gandhi. He also appealed to people to support Rahul. At the same time, Sanjay Das, the priest of the famous Hanumangadhi temple in Ayodhya, invited Rahul to Ayodhya. Sanjay Das also said that Rahul should stay in the ashram in the temple premises.

Rahul’s response in the Wayanad conference was that he had seen the people of Wayanad who had lost their homes in the floods and that even if his house was taken away from me 50 times, I would not be upset. They think they will be scared if the police are sent to my official residence. They also think that if my house is taken away from me, I will be powerless. I have seen hundreds of people who have lost their homes in Wayanad itself. I have seen the people who lost their homes when the flood came and the response of the people here. Because I have learned its lesson from the people of Wayanad. I will continue to raise the issues of the people of India and Wayanad – said Rahul.

As Rahul Gandhi prepares to move from his official residence in Delhi, it is clear that he has garnered support from Congress supporters across the country. Despite facing disqualification as an MP and a notice to vacate his residence, numerous individuals have offered their own homes to him through the ‘My house for Rahul’ campaign. But Rahul’s response has been clear – he is more concerned with fighting for the rights of the people of India and Wayanad than worrying regarding his own housing situation. As he moves to his new home at Sonia Gandhi’s residence in Janpath, Rahul has once once more demonstrated his commitment to serving the people of India.
