Counselor Sameh Al-Khashin, spokesman for the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, confirmed that reducing electrical loads is a temporary measure and will be from one to two hours per day according to the same schedules announced before, with minor exceptions in some areas by making the date earlier than previous dates.

Sameh Al-Khashin explained, during a phone call on the “Al-Hayat Al-Youm” program, with the journalist Lubna Asal, on Al-Hayat channel, that the rise in temperatures in the past days is one of the reasons for the gradual return to reducing electrical loads, saying: Temperatures continue to rise, and in a table showing the temperature difference from From last year to this year, this led to the use of larger quantities of gas, and thus there was pressure on the existing gas.”

He pointed out that there is no gas export at the present time and all the current product is for local use, but there were intervening factors that put pressure on the consumption of existing gas and thus this measure was resorted to, stating that the increase in electricity consumption is due to the recent rise in temperatures and this came in conjunction with the decrease in supplied gas. to Egypt.
