Telkom Education Foundation (YPT) Bandung continues to improve the quality of its schools in various regions. One of them is the Telkom Vocational High School (SMK) in Pesawaran, Lampung.
This vocational school has a complete information communication technology (ICT) laboratory. Deputy Principal for Curriculum, Dedi Eko Cahyono, stated that his school received appreciation from the Pesawaran Communication and Information Service.
“Telkom Vocational School students succeeded in developing the CSIRT (Computer Security Incident Response Team) Web. This is a web for preventing and dealing with security problems and the Satu Data Pesawaran web, a web that provides information services regarding Pesawaran Regency,” he said, in Bandung, Thursday (7/ 3).
This happens because Telkom Lampung Vocational School has a practical laboratory that meets national and international standards for all departments. Something that doesn’t exist in other schools in the province.
The laboratory equipment in the departments of Computer Network Engineering (TKJ), Telecommunications Access Network Engineering (TJAT), Software Engineering (RPL), and Animation, allows students to practice the theory gained from class.
Imam Suhendri, Industrial Relations Division of Telkom Lampung Vocational School, added that his party is a school that provides Fullstack IT Technology education. Starting from the basic layer, namely data transmission media technology, to the Telecommunications Access Network Engineering Skills Competency.

Up to the next layer of network technology and computer network interconnection in the Computer Network Engineering Skills Competency. Apart from that, also at the top layer of applications are software engineering competencies, software development skills competencies, as well as content development on digital media and the internet in animation skills competencies.
“With all this, we have trained our students, who are called Gen-Z and the strawberry generation, who are creative but give up easily, inside and out. We are ready to become a compass for Gen-Z so that they can move as fast as technological developments but are strong in facing challenges,” he said.
Telkom Lampung Vocational School’s teaching staff also have National Professional Certification Agency (BNSP) certification. They participated in the MikroTik Certified Network Associate (MTCNA) and MikroTik Certified Routing Engineer (MTCRE) training held by a technology company from Latvia.

“We will continue to encourage other teaching staff to also be accredited at BNSP. “Every year we hope it will continue to increase, until the teaching staff is ideally matched to the students,” continued Imam.
Telkom Lampung Vocational School graduates also have complete competency because they have to undergo six student competency tests in each department.
“This student skills competency test is to ensure that when they graduate, students have mastered the material learned during class learning,” he said.
Dedi continued, for every graduate who will go directly into the world of work, Telkom Lampung Vocational School establishes a network and collaborates with several companies operating in the information technology sector.
“Students who will continue their studies at Telkom University Bandung will receive special facilities. So, we are ready to contribute positively and play an active role in the development of IT technology in Pringsewu, Lampung and Indonesia,” he concluded.
