Just an hour ago, journalist Lázaro Manuel Alonso reported on his Facebook account about a new interruption in the television signal. The failure has affected several provinces in Cuba, just as it happened on Sunday night.
This incident is similar to the one that occurred yesterday during the broadcast of the program “Tras la Huella”, when the loss of the digital and analogue signal was reported. On the previous occasion, the high definition (HD) channels were not affected.
Although the radio continues to operate without problems, this repetition of the interruption has generated concern and worry among users.
Ariadne Plasencia, president of the Business Group for Information Technology and Communications, said that Radiocuba technicians, along with other specialists, are working to resolve the problem, which has been identified in a technical equipment crucial for the transmission of the television signal.
Lázaro Manuel Alonso mentioned that reports have been received from various parts of the country about this new impact on the standard analog and digital television signal.
Discomfort
The situation has sparked a series of comments on social media, where users have expressed their frustration and demanded a clear explanation of the causes of these recurring interruptions.
“They should give an explanation, it happens very often even if the duration of the affectation has not been as long as this time, something is happening.

One of the notable comments stressed the importance of transparency to avoid misunderstandings.
“It is good that they are working to restore the signal, but what happened that caused the signal to go down? It is good that the cause is explained to the public and thus misunderstandings are avoided. The transparency law must be applied. Otherwise it will be just another law without application.”
While another commented that these failures usually occur frequently, especially around 9:00 at night, regardless of the conditions in the country.

The population is hoping that measures will be taken to stabilise the television signal and that the authorities will provide a detailed explanation of what is happening.
