Telethon 2023: Controversial Kiss Between Animators Sparks Debate on Normalizing Love

2023-11-14 01:00:18

One of the many fun moments that Telethon 2023 left was the kiss that the animators Eduardo Fuentes and Juan Pablo Queraltó gave on screen. Of course, some didn’t find it funny.

It was following 11:00 p.m. on the closing night of the television campaign when the public demanded the traditional piquito between the drivers. Queraltó and Fuentes agreed and then Pastelito with Fernando Godoy, Leo Rey with Simón Oliveros and Sammis Reyes and Tita Ureta followed their example.

The episode was remembered among the postcards he published in Instagram the host of Buenos Días a Todos, where some people came out to complain regarding him for “normalizing” a kiss “between two men.”

“Let’s normalize love”

“I think the kiss with another man was unnecessary. “Why normalize that,” a follower asked. Another person added that it was at “a children’s event.”

Fuentes did not let the criticism go and responded by claiming love between people of the same sex and that it was no longer family time.

“‘Normalize’. I don’t understand that concept. That with JP was a trick that the public asked, let’s not be so serious. Plus, it was close to midnight, adult time. Did you know that there are men and women who LOVE people of the same sex and are happy? Are they abnormal? Let’s normalize love… and let’s not confuse. Hugs,” the journalist wrote.

Fuentes’ release drew applause and generated a heated debate in the comments of his publication.
