Telegram will have a premium version: what will the new service be like

The company has not yet made its premium features official

Although the owner of Telegram, Pavel Durov, has already confirmed that the new paid version of the messaging platform is a reality, only in the next few days will the official launch of the new product of the Russian digital brand take place.

Although not much is known regarding what the paid subscription of the mobile application will be regarding, it is rumored on the internet that it will have to do with data capabilities. It should be remembered that this messaging application has stood out for allowing you to send and receive large files.

What is officially known is that the benefits of taking the monthly subscription are focused on speed functions and other additional resources, in addition to receiving the news and updates of the application first.

It is worth remembering that the messaging platform will not change or withdraw services from the free version, which is the only one available so far, but the size of the files that can be sent through the application might be doubled, extending the limit to 4 gigabytes.

Pavel Durov argues that so far the application has offered updates to all its users in order to improve the service. However, due to the number of users who use the platform, it would no longer be possible to support its operation without any type of external economic income.

Due to the above, it has been decided to offer a paid edition that allows us to continue offering the messaging service for all those who wish to download it. Of course, those who agree to pay for the subscription will receive greater benefits.

Although the application already includes systems, the creator had always been reluctant to this type of financing strategy.

Speculation on the internet regarding the advantages of this new application payment service was generated because in previous days its possible features were leaked on the web.

According to these leaks, the premium version would cost $4.99 per month, so exclusive reactions such as stickers, emojis and gifs would be received.

The list of “VIP” features does not stop there, but you might also enter 1,000 groups, twice as many as with the current version. Likewise, it would be possible to set 10 chats, save 400 gifs, mark up to 200 stickers as favorites, expand the characters of the biography from 70 to 140 and have 4 associated accounts.

The download speed of the files also increases with the paid version, having the possibility of downloading documents, photos and videos more quickly.

The ads were already a reality on the platform since last year. However, with the premium version they would be permanently removed. As for the premium stickers, they will supposedly be updated monthly and will have special effects.

In addition to the above features, people who subscribe to the service will have a badge that indicates it in their names, as well as the possibility of uploading animated and interactive images to their profile photos.

Continuing with the visual advantages of the monthly subscription, according to the leak, the application icon can be customized with various graphic proposals.

Something that might be very useful, if the leaked information is true, is that voice notes might be converted to text and vice versa.
