Telegram updates with support for sending single-view photos and more

O Telegram now allows the single view media delivery. The news came along with the last update received by the messenger, which ended “copying” o rival WhatsApp with this function, something that is out of the ordinary as the opposite normally happens.

In any case, the functionality can be enabled through a quick shortcut in the conversation. Therefore, the user can send media that can only be viewed once, as already happens in the Meta app and already happened with Instagram, in a message sent with a firecracker icon.

It is worth remembering that Telegram has allowed the sending of self-destructive messages since 2013. However, the user chose the duration of the media sent so that it would expire at the end of time. The new shortcut, in turn, allows quick selection lasting 30 seconds or a single view.

As this is a more private feature, it does not allow sent and viewed media to be saved in the gallery and it is not even possible to take a screenshot. Additionally, the blue messenger made it easier to discover new account logins by displaying a notification right at the top of the message list.

Stories with news

The app’s monthly update also brought new features to stories. For example, it is now possible to create quick videos by adding reaction stickers. In this sense, anyone who subscribes to the Premium version can place up to five stickers in the publication, which also supports personalized emojis.

The feature also offers the possibility of adding music, narrations and adjusting the volume in relation to the original video. Finally, check out the news that arrived with the previous update of the app and the addition of a cryptocurrency wallet in partnership with the TON Foundation.
