Tel Aviv Stock Exchange Declines as War Escalates in the North

Hebrew media reported today that a set of exceptional measures were taken in northern Israel, including suspending studies and transferring hospital operations to shelters, depending on the security situation.

The intensity of the clashes has escalated since dawn on Sunday between Hezbollah and Israel, as Hezbollah announced targeting the Israeli Ramat David military base and its airport twice with heavy missiles, and also targeted a complex for the Rafael Military Industries Company in Haifa, while the Israeli Air Force raided large areas in southern Lebanon.

Our correspondent described the wave of rockets launched since dawn today towards northern Israel as the most violent since the beginning of the war, and video footage showed images of the destruction and fires caused by the rockets.

Meanwhile, the Home Front Command announced the suspension of studies today in all cities and towns in northern Israel, and the Nature and Parks Authority announced the closure of forests, reserves and beaches to visitors in accordance with the Home Front Command’s instructions.

Last Friday, Israel launched an air strike on the southern suburbs of Beirut, targeting a gathering of Hezbollah leaders, killing at least 16 members, including two senior leaders, Ibrahim Aqil and Ahmed Wahbi, in addition to a large number of civilians, bringing the total number of dead to more than 45.

On Tuesday and Wednesday of this week, Israel launched two attacks targeting pager and walkie-talkie radios, causing them to explode and killing and wounding dozens.
