Univision confirmed hours before the musical ceremony that the rapper Tekashi will not be able to participate in the Youth Awards due to concerns of security. It is unknown if Yailin ‘the most viral’ will perform anyway with one of her songs or if she will also be left out of the ceremony.
The information was provided by “Despierta América”, whose presenters read the statement: “We know that many fans are excited regarding the long-awaited participation of Tekashi 6ix9ine and Yailin “the most viral” in this edition of the Youth Awards In Puerto Rico. After an exhaustive analysis of the aforementioned concerns and working closely with local authorities, the Puerto Rico Convention District Authority, the Department of Security Pública de Puerto Rico and Univision concluded that the artist 6ix9ine will not be part of the event,” was the statement read by Raúl González.
Francisca added that these measures are taken to prioritize the security and the well-being of all the people who will be present at the show at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico.
The cancellation of the participation of Tekashi 6ix9ine emerges following alleged death threats once morest him. Even the authorities had recommended that he not travel to the Isla del Encanto; however, the rapper is currently in Puerto Rico.
It was expected that tonight Tekashi 6ix9ine and Yailin “the most viral” will perform the song “Pa ti” together, which they released a few weeks ago and which fueled rumors of a possible romance between the two artists.
