The lifeless body of Anthony Presilla Ruiz, 17, who drowned following jumping into the Manzanares River in Cumaná, Sucre state, to rescue a girl, was found.

The local media Prensa Alternativa reported that the preliminary version indicates that the young man was near the river with some friends when he noticed that a girl from his group was drowning, so he went to rescue her.
The girl survived, but the teenager disappeared into the waters of the river, until he was found dead.
Anthony Presilla was a resident of Cumanagoto. His body was transferred to the morgue of the Antonio Patricio de Alcalá University Hospital.
