A 16-year-old was charged as an adult following admitting to his crime on Instagram, police in Bensalem, Pennsylvania, US have confirmed.
On Friday, authorities in Bensalem say they received a call from a woman claiming her daughter had received a video call on Instagram from an acquaintance.
“During this call, the 16-year-old announced that he had killed someone. He then showed a person’s legs and feet covered in blood. Then he asked for help to dispose of the body,” according to a police statement.
When the police arrived at the scene, they saw a young man running away. A 13-year-old girl with gunshot wounds was found on the bathroom floor.
Identified as Joshua Cooper, the 16-year-old was found and sent to a juvenile detention center.
He faces charges of criminal homicide, possession of criminal instruments and fabricating physical evidence.
