Two young 16-year-old burglars will perhaps think twice before resuming crime, following confronting the wrong victim, who managed to lock them in the trunk of a van while waiting for the police.

On Sunday, police officers in Torcy, west of Paris in France, served two young would-be thieves on a silver platter, following being called to the scene by the owner of the house where the two young teenagers had just entered, reported Actu.fr on Monday.

It was around 12:30 p.m. that the two 16-year-old young men forced the door of the home, before taking a cell phone found on the premises. It was then that they came face to face with the owner of the apartment, who intercepted them before they might run away.

Single-handedly, the man managed to lock the two teenagers in the trunk of his van while waiting for the authorities to arrive, according to the French media.

The two boys from Paris, who were unknown to the police, carried screwdrivers and adjustable wrenches with them, which they would have used to force the door of the home.

It is not clear whether charges have been filed once morest the two boys, who were however placed in police custody, according to Actu.fr.
