Campus Party Institute and Renova Foundation sign a partnership for the implementation of technological laboratories

The Campus Party Institute (ICP) has just signed a partnership with the Renova Foundation, a private non-profit non-governmental organization, for the implementation of three new units of the Include program of technological laboratories, two of them in Minas Gerais, in the cities of Mariana and Governador Valadares and, one in Espírito Santo, in Linhares.

The initiative aims at the installation of three new technological laboratories Include, which aims to help democratize access to technology

“We are very happy with Renova’s support for the implementation of these new laboratories. Through Include, we open doors to a world of possibilities for children and young people who often do not have access to technological resources in their daily lives. Inclusion goes beyond just having access to technological and digital tools, it implies ensuring that everyone has access to knowledge, skills and opportunities in the technological and digital world”, explains Sidiane Zanin, Director of Instituto Campus Party.

Include aims to introduce teenagers and young people to the digital environment, through free teaching of robotics, programming, electronics, sensors and mechanics, in addition to entrepreneurship and IOT (Internet of Things) workshops. All laboratories have first-class furniture and equipment for teaching robotics, computers, 3D printers, virtual reality glasses, drones, among others.

For Ana Cristina de Alvarenga Lage, Economics and Innovation Coordinator at Renova, the partnership allows developing important digital skills for underprivileged young people in the Rio Doce region. “We are optimistic regarding the beginning of this partnership and believe that the Include technological laboratories will be very important for strengthening a culture of innovation along the Rio Doce, by providing more than 600 young people with access to new technologies that are already fundamental for the current economy”, says Ana.

Currently, the project has more than 60 units implemented in 59 cities in the states of Goiás, Minas Gerais, São Paulo, Paraná, Bahia, Rio Grande do Sul, Rio de Janeiro and Espírito Santo and has already offered more than 20 thousand vacancies throughout Brazil.
