Asunción, IP Agency.- A new group of 20 national technicians completed their intensive training on electric vehicles, taught by international experts from South Korea.
The recognition ceremony took place at the headquarters of the Task Paraguay Auto Parts Center, located in the facilities of the Itaipu Technology Park, Paraguayan side, in the Hernandarias area, department of Alto Paraná.
During her speech, the Vice Minister of Industry, Lorena Méndez, highlighted the important support of South Korea to Paraguay, through the project and the added value represented by Paraguayan technicians receiving this important transfer of knowledge by world-renowned experts. .
In addition, he mentioned the important coordinated work between the public and private sectors, such as the support of cooperation, to continue promoting this type of spaces that strengthen and enhance the sustained development of the auto parts industry at the national level.
Vice Minister Méndez, in the company of the South Korean counterpart, presented the recognition to the participation of Cristhian Fretes, Eladio Manuel Aquino, Guido Mattesich, Blas Benegas, Jorge Lovera, Víctor Fernández, Gilberto Caballero, Luis Salinas, Henso Cañete, Elvio Cabrera, Luis Ramírez, Pedro González, Jenniffer Duarte, Ángel Mendoza, Hugo González, Rafael Ortiz, Pedro Ortiz, Flaminio Ayala, Aníbal Génez and Juan González.
The training was carried out between October 21 and 25 with a workload of 50 lecture hours. Among the curricular framework, various items of great relevance can be highlighted, including the general vision of electric vehicles (EV), high voltage safety management, high voltage insulation, structure of composition of parts and functions of the EV, Structure and function of EV components and parts, EV diagnosis, structure and function of E-GMP system, EV diagnosis.
The series of training, in its second edition, was carried out within the framework of the cooperation project between the governments of Paraguay and South Korea, an initiative that seeks to promote development and establish the bases for the country’s insertion into the value chain of electric mobility.
Additionally, as a prize among the scholarship recipients with the best scores, four members will leave for Asian soil for a technical visit to South Korea with all expenses paid.
After the event, Vice Minister Méndez, accompanied by the Sustainable Electric Mobility Advisor of the Itaipú Technology Park, Tamatiá Colmán, and the technical team, traveled to the Tacurú Pucú complex, near the Costanera de Hernandarias, in order to verify the works being carried out. They have been carrying out a space of 47 hectares donated by Itaipu Binacional for the installation of the Task Paraguay Auto Parts Center.
The event was attended by the Executive Director of the PTI-PY, Carlos Mercado, specialists in the matter from Itaipu Binacional, and the director of Katech, Yang Jeongjik, in the company of the vice director of the Task Center, José Kim.
