Air services in the United States have been suspended due to technical problems. About 1,400 flights were canceled in the United States. More than 4,000 flights were delayed.
The major crisis was created when the Federal Civil Aviation Administration (FAA), the US air transport agency, might not pass instructions to the planes. The Notice to Air Missions (NOTAM) system, which provides pilots with runway malfunctions, presence of birds, weather warnings, etc., was malfunctioning. Airports were overcrowded as flights were canceled en masse.
President Joe Biden ordered an investigation into the incident. The White House has stated that it has not yet received evidence regarding whether a cyber attack took place.
