The 7th edition of the Tech’Inn Vitré exhibition returns for three days, from February 23 to 25, 2024, at the Vitré Cultural Center (Ille-et-Vilaine).
This event organized by Vitré community highlights digital uses. This year, artificial intelligence (AI) and robotics are in particular in the spotlight. On the program: exhibitors, workshops and conferences.
Discover the soccer drone
Among the possible workshops, the drone soccer activity. This discipline was invented in South Korea in 2016 and locally, it is the FairPlay agency, based in Rennes, which promotes this new new techno-sporting discipline.
How do we play it?
The rules are very simple. The drones are in a 50 m2 cage resembling a football field. Outside, two teams of three pilot players are in control of an attacking drone, a defending drone and a balloon drone.
Objective: score the most goals by passing your team’s drone ball into the opposing donut (the equivalent of a goal).
“The games will last three minutes each,” announces Jean-Baptiste Le Clec’h, president of Makeme and co-organizer of the show.
Inspired by Quidditch from the Harry Potter saga, the soccer drone offers an experience combining playful pleasure, a futuristic environment and learning in various fields such as electronics, robotics and aeronautics.

The activity is accessible to everyone. “It’s an intergenerational and mixed activity. It’s really great,” continues Jean-Baptiste Le Clec’h.
No registration is required, but it is advisable to come first thing in the morning.
A virtual reality animation
Furthermore, another activity will be worth a look during these three days of the show. Film producers, BPI Studio specializes in 3D and in particular facial animation.
The team has contributed to internationally renowned series and video games. During Tech Inn’Vitré, BPI Studio will present its latest creation La Tour Duguesclin.
It will be possible to explore its history and heritage with a 180° VR (virtual reality) short film in relief with dynamic effects and seats.
“This activity is to be done as a family,” concludes Jean-Baptiste Le Clec’h.
