No TEC bus left the depot this Tuesday morning in Mons. The staff continues the strike movement started on Friday. He denounces the rate of absenteeism which persists. Absences that limit the possibility of taking leave.
This Tuesday morning, a meeting was held between staff, unions and management to try to find solutions. “In the wake of this meeting, the TEC will analyze the information reported and respond as quickly as possible to certain issues, explains the management in a press release this Tuesday followingnoon. Different avenues are being studied, in particular for the question of occasional leave. Management also undertakes to communicate more actively with drivers regarding the work carried out. Nevertheless, with regard to absenteeism, everyone is aware that there is no miracle solution, achievable in the short term. The work is therefore continuing at this level on the side of the TEC.”
A new general staff meeting is scheduled for Wednesday morning at 5 a.m. to decide whether or not to continue the movement. In the meantime, the buses will remain at the stop in Mons this Tuesday followingnoon. All lines concerned are provided on the TEC website.
