I almost missed Star Trek: Lower Decks. Luckily I switched to the animated series and got stuck right away. For someone who doesn’t see stories in the Star Trek cosmos as some kind of religion, Lower Decks can be a blast. There are already two seasons of “Star Trek: Lower Decks” and a third will start later this year. Starfleet crew residing on the “lower decks” of the USS Cerritos include Ensign Beckett Mariner, Ensign Brad Boimler, Ensign Tendi, and Ensign Rutherford. The bridge crew of the USS Cerritos includes Captain Carol Freeman, Commander Jack Ransom and Doctor T’Ana.
