The competition is category 2.2 by the International Cycling Union (UCI) and will have a route of 601.8 kilometers.
“We have 28 Colombian runners competing in this round and we know that their level is good. I think there may be surprises”indicated Manuel Ochoa, from the Technical Commission of the Cycling Federation.
Regarding the route, he explained that it will be high mountain. ““It will begin with a flat stage and then enter the high mountains, as we are going to climb the summit of Alaska (between Totonicapán and Sololá), on the third day we will go to Pelestina de los Altos and on the last day the Reina stage,” Ochoa said.
