The memorial and funeral ceremony for Major Tran Ngoc Duy at 12:20 pm on the same day; cremated at the Universal Transformation Station in Thai Nguyen city, buried at Doc Lim cemetery, Thai Nguyen city, Thai Nguyen province.
Major Tran Ngoc Duy (born in 1992), hometown in Tan Phong commune, Vu Thu district, Thai Binh province; residing in Nam Cuong ward, Yen Bai city, Yen Bai province; Deputy Squadron, Chief of Staff of 1st Squadron, 921st Air Regiment, 371st Division.

After that, pilot Tran Ngoc Duy was the Deputy Squadron Leader – Chief of Staff of Squadron 1, Regiment 921, Division 371 of the Air Defense-Air Force.
During the course of the mission, pilot Tran Ngoc Duy has accumulated a total of 725 hours and 25 minutes of flight time; awarded the title of grassroots emulation soldier in 2020.

Pilot Tran Ngoc Duy got it conferment of military rank Second lieutenant in 2014, promoted to lieutenant in 2016, lieutenant in 2019, promoted ahead of time from the rank of lieutenant to captain in 2021.

At 12:27, during landing, the plane crashed, the pilot was ordered to parachute but tried to save the plane. However, the plane crashed and the pilot died.
Immediately following the incident, the Ministry of National Defense directed the Air Defense-Air Force and relevant agencies and units to urgently overcome the consequences, investigate and clarify the cause of the accident; together with functional agencies and Party committees, authorities and local organizations to visit and encourage family and do policy work for pilot Tran Ngoc Duy and his family./.
