Team Group Announces T-Create Classic C40 Gen 4 SSD Series
TeamGroup announced the T-Create Classic C40 Gen 4 SSD series with a wide choice of capacity, speed and durability to meet every need. Three models will be available, C47, C45 and C43 – with the last letter apparently indicating approximate read speeds in GB/s, offering sequential read speeds of around 7,000 MB/s, 5,000 MB/s and 3,000 respectively. MB/s.
Using a PCIe 4.0 x4 M.2 interface with SLC caching and NVMe protocol, the 2TB C47 model achieves read speeds of 7,400 MB/s and write speeds of 7,000 MB/s. Other models suffer a drop in sequential write speeds, with the 4TB model going down to 4,800 MB/s. Overall, that’s not too bad for 5,800 TBW (Terabytes Written) durability. They are the worthy successors to the T-Create Classic PCIe 4.0 DL SSD series.

The T-Create Classic C40 SSD will be available on retail sites in Taiwan and North America in November at an undisclosed price, with a five-year warranty.
That said, you can expect them to be quite affordable since they don’t have DRAM cache, especially the C43 line, which can be slower than some PCIe 3.0 SSDs.
