Team17’s Farmside comes to Apple Arcade

How many farm simulation games are there in the world? I don’t know how to answer this question, but it seems that there is still room for one more option: Farmside is available from today on Apple Arcade.

The game’s developer, Team17, has several successful titles such as Worms, The Escapists, Overcooked, among others and, now. is betting his chips on a game in which the main characters need to take care of their farm.

To create the “dream farm”, users need to prepare the area, plant a crop, harvest and do this several times to gain supplies and experience. There is a specific place (Dunn’s tent) where you can buy seeds to plant.

In addition, it is possible to build orchards filled with a wide variety of fruits. The player can also raise chickens, cows and other animals. All products — whether from crops, orchards or animals — can be used to craft other products and cook unique recipes, especially when fulfilling other people’s orders.

Like a good game of this style, it is also possible to purchase items to customize and decorate the farm as you wish. For example: fences to contain the chickens, lampposts and pavement that facilitates circulation, in addition to decoration elements and clothing for the avatar.

As the game progresses, you can expand to the beach next door, and as you complete missions and level up, hundreds of unique decoration options are unlocked.

Farmside is now available to all Apple Arcade subscribers.

Apple Arcade has over 200 titles in the library (free of or in-app purchases), which can be accessed by up to five members of a Family Sharing on iPhones, iPads, Apple TVs and/or Macs. Game service costs BRL 9.90 per month and it’s also part of the company’s Apple One subscription package.
