Another easy victory for Team USA. After having wandered against Puerto Rico on Tuesday, the United States quietly won against Slovenia (92-62) on Saturday evening in Malaga (Spain). Usual spearhead of the Slovenian selection, Luka Doncic did not play the match, left to rest as a preventive measure after being hit in the left knee on Friday against Spain.
In front throughout the match, Team USA only increased their lead to finally win by thirty points. Very active and author of several spectacular dunks, Anthony Edwards (Minnesota) finished as the game’s top scorer, with 15 points.
The United States will continue their preparation on Sunday, with a match against Spain (9:30 p.m.), reigning world champion. Steve Kerr and his players will then fly to the United Arab Emirates where they will face Greece (August 18, 6 p.m.) then Germany (August 20, 6 p.m.) for their last preparation matches before the World Cup (25 August-10 September).
