Last year was difficult for both of us. After Riyadh Masters, we probably both realized that it would be better if we separated. I can’t say it was sad. We both felt rather relieved. Obviously, you get stressed when you play against someone you care about and don’t win. It’s not as easy as if you were just playing in a professional environment with other people. When we realized that it was all over and we no longer had to work so hard for each other, we felt relieved.

Now we have different challenges, we are both in new conditions, in completely different teams. <...> Our situations are different, but I think realizing that we no longer have to worry about each other is like a stone off our shoulders.

We still talk, of course. And we will see each other at tournaments – it will be cool.

Previously, Nielsen discussed the behavior of Team Falcons during tournaments. He stated that his teammates do not communicate friendly with opponents in the game chat. You can read more about this in the material.
