Cadillo —who was part of Castillo’s administration— indicated that, currently, the portfolio headed by Rosendo Serna (Ministry of Education) has a certain political bias due to the National Federation of Workers in Education of Peru (Fenatep), which the president joined at the time (2017-2020).
“It generates suspicions, since it is the Spill that should call for elections and not the Ministry of Education, as the supreme decree says. The sector has a certain bias towards a union (Fenatep) (…) In my management, meritocracy in jobs was always valued and I held meetings with all the unions,” Cadillo said in dialogue with La República.
