Coming soon, the Ministry of Education (Minedu) will grant a teacher bonus of 950 soles for teachers. This bonus was achieved in 2022 through a collective bargaining table between the government of the former president Pedro Castillo and the Unitary Union of Workers in Education of Peru (Sutep).
It should be noted that this bonus did not cover all teachers and assistants, since in the current administration of President Dina Boluarte, the budget and the group of beneficiaries were expanded.
WHO WILL RECEIVE THE 2023 TEACHING BONUS?
THE Ministry of Education increased a budget of 16 million soles for the delivery of the teaching bonus, so that the beneficiaries will no longer only be the hired teachers and assistants until August 2022, but those consigned until December of the same year will be added.
“They are going to be consigned through a emergency decree and an additional 16 million investment to all those who had employment relationship until December 31 of last year. We welcome the fact that the minister has fulfilled his commitment”, explained Lucio CastroSecretary General of the Sutep to the daily The Republic.
WHEN WILL THE 2023 TEACHING BONUS BE DELIVERED?
The payment of Teaching Bonus 2023 will be carried out no later than January 30th of this year, in all the bank accounts of the teachers hired in Peru, as indicated by Castro.
