WHILE, Waspada.co.id – MTS Al Ulum Medan distributed nine staple foods (groceries) to surrounding communities in need in the MTS Al Ulum Medan’s ‘Bansos Ramadhan’ Program to several locations on Friday (17/3).
Head of MTS Al Ulum Medan Qomaruddin Lubis SPdI, explained that this assistance was distributed to three locations, namely the Musholla Ikhwanul Muslimin Jl. Rahmadsyah Gg. Twins, Muslimin Mosque Jl. walnut 19 Perumnas Mandala, and Ar Ridho Musolla Jl Brigjen Katamso Gg Kesatria Sei Mati Medan. The assistance provided was in the form of rice, instant noodles, sugar and oil.
“Each food distribution point is distributed 30 basic food packages and money. I hope that the assistance provided can be of benefit to people in need, especially ahead of the holy month of Ramadan,” he said.
Qomaruddin Lubis also explained that the assistance provided came from donations from parents of students, employees, and teaching staff at MTS Al Ulum Medan. This is the school’s annual routine agenda for the surrounding community.
“This activity aims to instill a sense of sympathy and empathy among students for people in need. At the same time it teaches the beauty of sharing with others, “he explained.
Then, to meet the needs of the less fortunate people ahead of the holy month of Ramadan. “Finally, I would like to thank the students, parents, staff and educators of MTS Al Ulum Medan for the assistance provided,” he concluded.
Community leader Masrul Efendi Tanjung accompanied by Nazir Mushalla Muhardi expressed his gratitude for the assistance provided by MTS Al Ulum Medan to its residents. “Certainly this assistance will greatly help them, especially during the holy month of Ramadan later,” he said. (wol/ari/d1)
