During the eight stages of the Tour de Guyane 2022, riders and spectators will be exposed to the vagaries of the weather. As of August 11, 2022, Météo France forecasts announce clouds and very moderate sunshine for the week of the competition. However, the weather has some surprises in store.
From August 13 to 21, 2022, participants in the Tour de Guyane will encounter several difficulties, some of which are weather-related. In its forecast bulletin for August, Meteo France announces that “rainfall remains slightly in excess over the period August 8 to September 4.
“That said, at this time of year, the dry season is approaching despite everything, and even with a slight excess of rainfall, the sun will prevail more often than in the past few months“, continue the forecasters. Note that the months of July and August correspond to the intermediate period between the great rainy season and the dry season, called the tropical wave period.
Regarding the week of the Tour de Guyane, from August 15 to 21, 2022, it promises to be “in line with seasonal norms”, according to Météo France. The followingnoon of Saturday August 13, i.e. that of the 1time stage, should be partly cloudy, with an average temperature of 31°C. On the other hand, the next day, the weather might be cloudy at the time of the time trial and stormy in the followingnoon on the Île-de-Cayenne.
For the moment, the following days promise to be slightly cloudy in the morning, but generally rainy in the followingnoons. The sun will be discreet compared to other editions of the Tour de Guyane. Keep in mind that these are forecasts, so they might change over the days. The weather can still hold surprises for runners and their supporters.
