How to activate biometrics on PicPay
Activating the biometrics requirement on PicPay can be a great alternative to increase the protection of your account. This is because with it in action, your device’s unlocking method will be requested whenever you want to access the application and whenever you want to carry out a new transaction.
As you can see below, biometrics can be activated in just a few minutes through the app’s settings; and the process can be carried out on both the Android and iOS versions of the application.
But of course, the biometrics method required will depend on the capabilities of your smartphone.
In the case of newer iPhones, for example, you are likely to unlock the app and authorize transactions using FaceID facial recognition. For older Apple smartphones or the vast majority of Android devices, this same task is likely to be performed with your fingerprint.
If you use a PIN or password to unlock your device, giving up – or being unable – to use biometrics, PicPay will use the same method to grant access to the application.
Without further ado, check out the following step-by-step guide on how to activate the feature:
- With the PicPay app open on your smartphone, tap your profile photo in the top corner of the screen;
- Now, slide the “Settings” menu to the “Security” section and tap “Account protection”;
- Activate the option switch “Account protection disabled”;
- Enter your PicPay password and tap “Confirm”;
- On the next screen, confirm the unlocking method. Account protection will be activated and the unlocking method will be required when accessing the app and making new transactions.
