Louisiana Swifties, are you ready? Taylor Swift is bringing her record-breaking Eras Tour to New Orleans for a three-night run at the Caesars Superdome in October 2024.
On Thursday, August 3 Swift announced via social media “turns out it’s NOT the end of an era” with additional dates in New Orleans, Miami, Indianapolis and Toronto. Verified Fan registration for all dates is now open.
According to Swift’s website, Verified Fan is being used to help fans get tickets and help filter out buyers looking to resell tickets.
Registration does not guarantee tickets. “A limited number of fans will receive a unique access code and others will be put on the waitlist. Getting an access code doesn’t guarantee tickets. Tickets will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. If you aren’t initially selected, you’ll be placed on the waitlist and may receive an access code at a later date if tickets remain,” the site explains.
Registration is open now through Saturday, August 5 at 4 p.m. CST.
Swift’s “The Eras Tour” is a concert that is over three hours long and features 44 songs from her 10 albums. The show is divided into 10 distinct acts that portray the various albums conceptually from her debut in 2006 to Midnights which was released in October 2022.
During the show, Swift goes through each era with various outfit changes and has been playing special “secret” songs in each city, never repeating them in any shows following giving each tour stop its own special setlist. The t-shaped rectangular stage has connecting ramps and hyperactive hydraulic platforms as well as lifts that can bring Swift in from under the stage. The stage setup along with props, image projection, lighting and wardrobe changes allows Swift and her dancers to move the audience through the ten eras of music with ease.
During night one of the three-night residency in Nashville, Swift announced the date of Speak Now (Taylor’s Version). Swift has been leaving easter eggs that 1989 might be the next album getting the “Taylor’s Version” treatment.
The Eras Tour will be coming to New Orleans on October 25 – 27, 2024. Visit the Taylor Swift website for more information on how to purchase tickets.
