First, Alicia Keys appeared behind a red piano before performing the joint duet “My Boo” together.
Rappers Lil Jon and Ludacris then blessed the show in time for the club hit “Yeah!”.
Before the game, country icon Reba McEntire sang the national anthem. Even the rapper Post Malone offered a number.
Taylor Swift stal showen
But both musical performances and sports had fallen into the background before this year’s Super Bowl.
All eyes were on superstar Taylor Swift, who flew straight from her world tour in Japan to support boyfriend Travis Kelce, who plays for the Kansas City Chiefs, from the stands.
At the arena, she cheered with friends including actor Blake Lively and rapper Ice Spice, and appeared to win a beer-swiping contest to an appreciative roar from fans in the stands.

Invaded by “Swifties”
Taylor Swift’s relationship with Kelce has attracted incredible attention in the United States, and also the rest of the world. Football stadiums have been invaded by ‘Swifties’ hoping to catch a glimpse of their idol. And at Swift’s concerts you can now also see football jerseys, preferably with Travis Kelce’s number 87 on the back.
The Super Bowl is one of the most-watched telecasts of the entire year in the United States, and the high interest in the romance between the stars has been predicted to lead to new record numbers.
For the performers, the main act is usually the halftime show. In previous years, among others, Rihanna, Dr. Dre, The Weeknd, Jennifer Lopez and Shakira have performed.
