TAYLOR Swift said she was “absolutely shocked” after a knife attack at a dance class celebrating the US singer’s music in Southport, England, left three children dead and others injured.
The singer wrote on Instagram “the terror of yesterday’s attack in Southport continues to haunt me, and I am in complete shock.”
“The loss of life and innocence, and the horrific trauma that it caused to everyone who was there, the families, the emergency responders,” he added. “These were just little kids in a dance class.”
The chaos has shocked Britain and left police scrambling to understand why such a devastating incident happened in a country where gun control is tight but knife crime has been described as a “national crisis.”
A 17-year-old was arrested at the scene on “suspected murder and attempted murder.”
“I am truly at a loss for how to express my sympathy to these families,” Swift wrote in her Instagram post.
