Pendrith, seeking his first PGA title, and Moore, who won his first crown in March, remain with a total of 131 shots (-13) each following 36 holes at Detroit Golf Club.
Pendrith, world number 127, is so far bogey-free in the tournament.
“I played very solid, no bogeys once more today, which was great,” Pendrith said.
The Argentines Augusto Núñez and Tano Goya, as well as the Colombian Nico Echavarría did not make the cut for the second round.
