‘Tatán’ Mejía exploded against juries and many supported

A tense and unexpected discussion took place this Saturday May 21 in ‘MasterChef Celebrity’following ‘Tatán’ Mejía took the floor to express a disagreement he was feeling with the jury’s qualifications.

As he mentioned, for him the competition is getting a bit tricky since the comments of the chefs are not so flattering and prevent him from facing the tests with the same motivation as always.

“It’s not criticism, it’s advice. Chef, we have tried very hard and we are working very hard. We have tried more than necessary, we are not cooks and we have really prepared ourselves. We have cooked more than 70-odd times, we have created new things and, personally, I am a bit exhausted”, the motorcyclist began by saying.

Hearing that, Christopher Carpentier He asked if it was a “group or personal problem”, to which Mejía replied that he was speaking because of his experiences within the program.

The discussion escalated, to the point that the also chef George Rausch He clarified that the criticism is directed towards the dishes and not towards them as participants. “We tell them with all our love, with all our appreciation and with all our interest so that every day they are better people and better cooks.”

Some of the celebrities gave their point of view and assured that they did not understand why ‘Tatan’ made the claim, if “he is one of the most consenting”. However, he continued to criticize him.

“I know that it is a cooking program and they have to tell you the mistakes. That’s fine and that’s how it works. An argument with you is almost a waste of time because we are always going to lose […] The story that we don’t cook, that everything tastes bad to you and that you are the ones who are going to approve the dish and that once and for all it’s going to be bad, I personally take it badly because that’s not how I move forward. We are sucked.”

Carpentier was upset by the contestant’s comments and immediately responded. “You are in a contest. And part of a contest is saying what is right and what is wrong. I can tell you with a joke or crudely. The theme is to compete,” he said. But before finishing, ‘Tatán’ interrupted him: “I have competed all my life, chef. More than the rest here and I know what it is to compete”.

Nicholas of Zubiria He also gave his opinion and explained what they have to go through every time they go to evaluate a dish.

“It is not easy to sit here and eat 8 plates of udder that is not perfectly cooked. One tells them as a joke, but because it’s reality, daddy. Stand up here, there are 8 badly made udder dishes, because the thing is not going to be tasty. We put hesitation in it and that’s where the shit goes, dad “, said.

Finally, the chefs accepted the discrepancy of ‘Tatán’, but they were emphatic that if the preparations are not right, they will not hesitate to say so. However, they recognized the work done by all the contestants so far.
