“Match TV” taken off the air Sofia Tartakov for criticism of the show “There is a theme.”
Today the channel aired a program regarding Daria Kasatkina and Andrey Rublev. Tartakova wrote: “It’s a freak show for tongue-tied deputies, pseudo-experts and people who are looking for 5-minute glory. Match TV, you let me down.
The decision regarding the presenter was announced by the general producer of “Match TV” Alexander Taschin.
“As a general producer, I consider it necessary to respond to the public statements of the channel host Sofya Tartakova, in which she mentioned both the channel and her colleagues.
First of all, I want to emphasize the exceptionally warm attitude towards Sonya and her work – we really appreciate her contribution to the common cause.
At the same time, public statements such as today’s are contrary to the concepts of corporate and journalistic ethics – my colleagues and I can say a lot to each other in person or in correspondence, have different opinions on a particular TV channel product, but it is not permissible to speak publicly in this vein.
In these circumstances, we consider it incorrect for Sophia to appear on the TV channel, so we give her time to think regarding her statements. Until that time, Sophia will not be on the air, ”Tashchin wrote on his Telegram channel.
