Two people were detained at the request of the District Prosecutor’s Office in Krakow in connection with failure to fulfill duties to the detriment of the public interest. Among them is the staroste of Tarnów, Roman Ł.

According to an RMF FM reporter, the two detained people are the starosta of Tarnów and the director of the District Family Assistance Center.
According to the spokesman of the Krakow prosecutor’s office, they have already been charged with exceeding their powers or failing to fulfill their duties to the detriment of the public interest, which may involve, among other things, suspicion of corruption.
The starosta of Tarnów was temporarily arrested, and a preventive measure in the form of property bail was decided once morest the director of PCPR.
The charges concern an offense under Article 231 of the Penal Code and obstruction of preparatory proceedings.
