Since yesterday, the Tapa Tapa toll has been operating at its four entrances to Maracay, with payment, depending on the vehicle, through the Cobretag system. This would be the fifth in the entity that is reactivated with the support of the company, along with Palo Negro, Villa de Cura, Las Tejerías and La Cabrera.

Oscar Castillo, manager of the toll, highlighted the importance of this activation, since it is one of the distributors in the city that communicates with points of greatest vehicle flow, such as the industrial zone of San Vicente. At the same time, he highlighted that it is an icon that gives way to the Aragua coast and with it to tourist activity.

Regarding operation, he mentioned that the personnel who provide the service were trained in advance, “to guarantee users timely attention and at the level of responsibility.”

Regarding the collection system, he explained that it is similar to the rest of the tolls in operation, they handle point of sale, mobile payment and cash in bolivars or foreign currency at the official BCV rate.

Likewise, the Ministry of Transportation has the Venvias Cobretag device available, which consists of a sticker that is installed on the front glass of cars, upon presentation of the user’s identity card and vehicle registration certificate in one of the tolls. Recharges are made through the App available in the Play Store (Cobretag).

On the other hand, Castillo said that it is a structure of four entry channels to Maracay that must be paid and three exit channels (free of payment). The rates are the same as those established for the rest: Bs 15 for private cars and minibuses, buses Bs 25 and light cargo vehicles Bs 130.
