TAP Air Portugal expands its transatlantic reach with new seasonal routes to Los Angeles and Boston
Portuguese flag carrier TAP Air Portugal is expanding its transatlantic network with new seasonal routes to Los Angeles and Boston starting in 2025. The airline will also offer service between Terceira, in the Azores, and San Francisco. This expansion caters to growing demand for direct travel between Portugal and these popular US destinations.
Chief Executive Officer, Luís Rodrigues, expressed his excitement for these new routes stating “These routes are key in further enriching the travel obtions for passengers. This expansion reflects our dedication to offering convenient connectivity and options to our valued customers. We look forward to growing these routes and welcoming you onboard."
From May 16, 2025, TAPAir Portugal will be connecting Lisbon (LIS) to the City of Angels – Los Angeles International. Flights will operate Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays through May 26. Subsequently, a fourth weekly flight will be added on Saturdays, continuing until October 25. A state-of-the-art Airbus A330-900, with a capacity of 298 passengers, will operate this route.
Starting on May 14, 2025, TAP will also fly from Porto (OPO) to Boston (BOS). Flights will operate Mondays, Wednesdays,
