New Delhi: President Draupadi Murmu condoled the Tanur boat accident. In his condolence message, the President said the accident was shocking and sad.
“The loss of life in the boat accident at Malappuram is shocking and saddening. Heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families. Praying for the welfare of the survivors,” the President tweeted.

The tourist boat overturned at Purapuzha yesterday at 7 pm. The latest information is that 22 people have died. Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced a financial assistance of Rs 2 lakh to the families of the deceased.
