Tangerang (ANTARA) – The Tangerang City Health Service (Dinkes) invites the public to activate the one house one larva monitoring (jumantik) movement in anticipating dengue hemorrhagic fever (DBD).
Head of the Tangerang City Health Office, Dr. Dini Anggraeni in Tangerang, Tuesday, said that the One House One Jumantik Movement is a program that encourages every household to suppress mosquito breeding.
“By appointing a family member as a jumantik who is tasked with routinely monitoring larvae once a week, mosquito breeding can be maximally suppressed,” he said.

He also explained that one larva monitor was tasked with socializing and mobilizing family members to carry out PSN 4M-Plus, namely checking and eradicating mosquito nests in the home environment.
“Fill out the mosquito larva inspection card, apply larvicide to water reservoirs that have been drained and don’t forget to carry out 4M-Plus mosquito nest eradication (PSN) simultaneously in all houses in each neighborhood,” he explained.
He also appealed to families not to forget to carry out PSN and 4M-Plus actions, starting from cleaning and draining water reservoirs, tightly closing water reservoirs, utilizing or recycling used goods and monitoring larvae.
“As we enter the rainy season, don’t let it become a nest for mosquitoes. “Let’s work together to fight dengue fever by diligently draining, closing, using used goods and monitoring larvae with a one house one house movement,” he said.

The Mosquito Wars: One House, One Larva, One Nightmare
Ah, the eternal struggle against the humble mosquito. You know, those tiny little creatures that are just waiting to ruin your life with their incessant buzzing and disease-ridden bites. Well, in Tangerang, Indonesia, they’re taking the fight to the enemy, and it’s about time someone did.
The Tangerang City Health Service (Dinkes) has launched a program that’s got me in stitches – the One House One Jumantik Movement. Essentially, it’s a call to arms (or should I say, call to swatters?) to every household to appoint a family member as a "jumantik" – a mosquito-monitoring ninja tasked with the noble duty of eradicating those pesky larvae once a week.
Now, I know what you’re thinking – "Jimmy, Rowan, Ricky, and Lee, what’s the big deal about a few mosquitoes?" Well, let me tell you, my friends. These aren’t just any mosquitoes. These are the dengue-carrying, hemorrhagic fever-spreading, life-ruining kind. And trust me, you don’t want to be on the receiving end of one of those bites.
According to Dr. Dini Anggraeni, Head of the Tangerang City Health Office, this program is a game-changer. By empowering families to take control of their own mosquito-borne destinies, they’re essentially creating an army of larva-slaying, dengue-fighting warriors.
But, of course, it’s not just about appointing a jumantik and calling it a day. Oh no. This is a full-on, all-hands-on-deck operation. Families are encouraged to work together to carry out the PSN 4M-Plus program, which includes (deep breath) checking and eradicating mosquito nests, filling out mosquito larva inspection cards, applying larvicide to water reservoirs, and – you guessed it – monitoring those pesky larvae.
Now, I know some of you might be thinking, "But what about the rainy season? Won’t that just create a mosquito paradise?" Fear not, dear readers, for the good people of Tangerang have thought of that too. Dr. Anggraeni urges families to "work together to fight dengue fever by diligently draining, closing, using used goods and monitoring larvae with a one house one house movement."
So, there you have it – the ultimate guide to winning the mosquito wars. And if you’re thinking, "But this all sounds like a bit of a laugh," well, you’re not wrong. I mean, who doesn’t love a good game of "spot the larva" on a Sunday afternoon? But trust me, this is serious business.
As we enter the rainy season, it’s time to take a stand against those pesky mosquitoes and their disease-ridden ways. So, gather your family, grab your swatters, and join the One House One Jumantik Movement. Together, we can make the world a safer, more mosquito-free place.
