Tamara Lich, the main organizer of the Ottawa siege, remains in prison

Tamara Lich, the main organizer of the Ottawa siege, will remain in jail until her trial.

For Justice Julie Bourgeois of the Ontario Court of Justice, it is a question of “maintaining confidence in the administration of justice”. She pointed out that there is “a substantial possibility” that the defendant would commit another offense if released.

Arrested Thursday evening as the police operation began to dislodge the besiegers of the federal capital, Tamara Lich faces a charge of having advised others to commit mischief.
