According to what Polygon, the game will return under a slightly different formula, although still in its usual interactive narrative format. According to Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford, we might see the release of the next Tales from the Borderlands later this year.
He reportedly told the PAX East convention crowd that this new installment will follow “all new characters and all new stories from the Borderlands.” We know for the moment few details on the project, but Pitchford has promised that we might be entitled to new information on the game this summer.
Tales from the Borderlands was originally developed by Telltale Games, which notably gave us The Walking Dead, Minecraft: Story Mode et The Wolf Among Us. After the studio closed in 2018, 2K Games bought the franchise. In 2021, the latter finally emerged Tales from the Borderlands in digital format on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in a single game, including all five episodes.
