The Homicide Squad and the PDI Crime Laboratory investigate the death of a person, presumably as a result of a beating by neighbors who surprised him stealing inside a home in the northern sector of Talca.
A Carabineros radio patrol went to the scene following receiving a call that alerted regarding a subject between 25 and 30 years of age who would have been discovered stealing and was being beaten by neighbors.
Upon arriving at the scene, the uniformed officers found the individual unconscious on the ground, putting him in the police vehicle and taking him to the emergency room at SAR Las Américas, but upon arrival at said health center, He no longer had vital signs.
“Carabineros brought him when they noticed that he did not react immediately, and here (in the office) it was found that entered deceased“, He said subprefect Orlando Calderónfrom the Homicide Squad.
The officer noted that “the victim had no visible traumatic injuriesso the death mechanism might be another, which must be confirmed by the autopsy and work at the site of the event.”
THERE IS A DETAINEE
The Prosecutor’s Office instructed to isolate the police car in which the victim was transported, experts from the PDI worked there and at the place where the beating occurred.
Prefect Calderón also confirmed to Cooperative Regions that Carabineros detained a person for his alleged connection with this death.
“The detainee is taking a statement. Once we finish the expert work in the place and here at SAR, we will provide the Public Ministry with sufficient information on whether it is necessary to maintain his detention; if there is responsibility in this death or if it is attributable one or more people,” Calderón explained.
