The German family fashion brand Takko is establishing itself a little more firmly in France. After opening its first store there in 2018, it put its e-commerce site dedicated to the French market online this October. A platform which must relay the 41 addresses that the brand has at low prices in the country.

The Takko French site markets its fashion collections for men, women, children and babies. For delivery, shipping is free in store within three to five days, while home shipping is carried out by Colis Privé, at a cost of 5.99 euros per order.

The company founded in 1982, which has around 2,000 points of sale in 17 countries, inaugurated new units in France this year. Notably in Matignon (Côtes d’Armor) and at Chapelle-Saint-Aubin (Sarthe) in May, in Quimper (Finistère) in June, in Fougères (Ille-et-Vilaine) in July and in Saint-Dizier (Haute- Marne) in October. According to the media LilleActu, a unit is due to open in Lille in December, in the Lillenium shopping hub. The Takko network is concentrated only in the northern half of France. After first steps in the East, the West is now linked by the chain.

The year 2024 promises to be busy for Takko, since this tricolor park is expected to increase by 40%, says Christophe Juhel, the French director of Takko since 2022, in an interview with the Procos federation. Development is only carried out in branches, on areas of approximately 500 square meters.

In 2022/23, the German company achieved an overall turnover of 1.223 billion euros, a sharp increase of 17% compared to the previous year. Takko passed into the hands of its creditors in the spring of 2023, the Apax Partners fund having sold its shares to a consortium led in particular by Silver Point Capital. The company with the yellow and burgundy logo also recorded the departure of its boss Tjeerd Jegen this fall.
